  1. Hello Richard,

I just became a dad 2 months ago and this is a whole new adventure. I can relate to your article because I was raised in an old school digital age, let me explain.

Both my parents were gamers, they gave me an NES controller at the age of 1, sure I didn’t know how to play but still. I was raised in video games and I turned out fine!

But I can understand to have a balanced life you need to mix things up and that is my plan, I want my son to play video games and I want him to go play outside with his friends.

I didn’t have many friends growing up as I was a hardcore gamer, despite that video games have given me skills I still use today. I learned English that way, I learned how to manage money and much more, it would be too long to write it here, but you get the idea.

Your article is great, it made me think about a lot of aspects and to go back to the roots of parenting before all that technology came out, I will try to do a mix of both as I mentioned above, thank you!
